Jam #14: Vocal Wonders
YolanDa kicks off the show with “Something ‘Bout That Noise”, a song all about dynamics in which the Band Jammers must crouch down then jump up high when the song goes from quiet to loud. YolanDa then welcomes harmony group Gold Vocal Collective to the show. In the Fact Jam, we find out more about A cappella – a style of singing without instruments that was invented many years ago in church choirs. Gold Vocal Collective show off what they can do by singing an A cappella version of “Wonder” by Emile Sande. As everybody then gets ready for the Band Jam, a short film takes us to meet two girls as they give their dad some tips on being a DJ with the help of professional DJ Miss Velocity. Finally, Gold Vocal Collective take-on the Band Jaminals in a playful song that pits real instruments against the vocal skills of the guests.
