Series 2: 10. Jam #30: Street Beats

YolanDa Brown and her house band, The Band Jaminals, entertain an audience of children - the Band Jammers - with live music and special guests!\n\nYolanDa gets everyone moving with Animal Bop, which sees the Band Jammers dancing fast and then standing completely still.\n\nJoining YolanDa in this episode are the fantastic Mr Wilson’s Second Liners. They explain that New Orleans second-lining is all about dancing, parading and having fun. The band then show YolanDa and the Band Jammers how to mime musical instruments such as trumpets, trombones and saxophones.\n\nThe Fact Jam further explores second-lining, and we learn how second liners follow a marching band and wave handkerchiefs as they dance along.\n\nMr Wilson’s Second Liners get everyone dancing with a lively, colourful performance of Freed From Desire before being invited by YolanDa and the Band Jammers to take part in the Big Band Jam at the end of the programme.\n\nNext, there's a short film that follows a group of Band Jammers learning about samba drumming with the Katumba carnival drummers.\n\nYolanDa and the Band Jaminals perform with Mr Wilson’s Second Liners for a sensational Big Band Jam as everyone joins in for an energetic performance of Move Any Mountain.
