Bobbie Edwards is just 22 and has poured her life savings into owning her own gym in Colwyn Bay. She opened it in February 2020. Six weeks later the gym, with its £80,000-worth of equipment, had to close. Thinking fast, Bobbie went online instead, and now her Bobbie Edwards women-only glutes boot camp courses have thousands of followers worldwide. \n\nBobbie’s had such a successful year that she’s now picking up the keys to a brand new Range Rover. Bobbie reveals the secrets of her success, but her sister and her mum tell us what she’s really like.\n\nBridgend-based Scott Magill has run a successful T-shirt design business since 2012, but his real passion in life is coffee and doughnuts. Last year before the pandemic struck, he opened a small shop next door to his T-shirt outlet selling hand-decorated doughnuts made to his own designs. Business was far better than he could have imagined, and people were driving from miles away to buy his fancy concoctions. When lockdown meant he had to close down both businesses, Scott figured the best way to survive would be offering a doorstep doughnut delivery service. Demand was so great that now not only has Scott managed to make enough dough out of doughnuts to buy a state-of-the-art T-shirt printer, but he’s also gambling thousands on building a 50-seater coffee shop. What he didn’t foresee was the Christmas lockdown, and we follow Scott as he tries to keep his dreams afloat.\n\nAnd finally, in the midst of the winter lockdown, we catch up with vintage clothing shop owner Nanial to see how he’s coping with no shop.\n\nDespite the pandemic, more under-25s are setting up businesses than ever before. These entrepreneurs are Young, Welsh and Bossin’ It.
