It is the final of Glow Up, and three MUAs still have the chance to be crowned Britain’s next make-up star. But first, they have to overcome their biggest professional assignment to date as they have been booked to lead their own make-up masterclass at one of the world’s most famous department stores – Harrods.\n\nGuest judge this week is Harrods’s director of beauty Annalise Fard, and as it is the final, she is joined by a special guest judge - make-up royalty and masterclass extraordinaire Anastasia Soare from Anastasia of Beverly Hills.\n\nTaking it in turns, the MUAs deliver a masterclass, showcasing their USPs by creating a signature look concentrating on the eyes. In front of an audience of industry professionals, the finalists must be engaging, explain their techniques and deliver great make-up under pressure. One MUA plans to create a bold, colourful smoky eye, the second plans to wow with a striking eyeliner look, and the third finalist hopes their lash revamp will impress the crowds at Harrods.\n\nThe next day in Glow Up HQ, the MUAs take on their final creative brief. They must create a look on the theme of evolution, demonstrating who they were before they started this competition and who they are now.\n\nOne MUA’s interpretation of evolution is based on a peacock flounder fish and features non-cosmetic items like Play-Doh and Christmas baubles. Another MUA turns to silicone to create a three-dimensional look based on osmosis, whilst the third uses prosthetics, gauze and beads on their look, inspired by the formation of diamonds.\n\nOnce the creative brief is over, the judges must decide which MUA has fallen at the last hurdle and which two head into the final face-off, with only one being crowned winner of Glow Up: Britain’s Next Make-Up Star.
