A feud is brewing in the meerkat enclosure at Longleat, and it’s a family affair. Meerkats live in strict hierarchical groups, and elderly female Cassie appears to have been ousted by her daughter Harley. This act has left the mob of meerkats in terrible disarray, as none of them are sure of their position within the group. To try and bring them together and allow them to work out their pecking order, keeper Charlie has a plan. The meerkats are usually fed bugs, but in the wild they would also eat much larger creatures such as small birds and mammals. Charlie plans to give them a whole chicken as a feast to bring them together, and soon it’s time to unleash the meerkats. Will Cassie be the dominant meerkat, or will another rise through the ranks? \n\nAcross the park, animals are being encouraged to unleash their wild instincts, and perhaps the Cuban crocodiles are the most spectacular example. When they attack large prey, they perform the ultimate act of croc aggression - the death roll. The purpose of this is to tear of large chunks of meat while disorientating their target, but they often use it to fight competitors in their territory. Cayo and Fang don’t disappoint, attacking the hide-wrapped log moments after it enters the water, producing the most amazing scenes. \n\nWildlife cameraman Hamza Yassin trains his lens on the emus to try to work out what the source of their disagreement is, Megan McCubbin tries to tempt a new joey out its mum’s pouch, and Kate celebrates a lion’s eighteenth birthday.
