2023 - Midnight Mass from Portsmouth Cathedral
The traditional celebration of the first Eucharist of Christmas and Blessing of the Crib is broadcast live from the ‘Cathedral of the Sea’, situated in the historic heart of the city of Portsmouth. \n\nThe dean of Portsmouth, the Very Rev Dr Anthony Cane, introduces and leads the service with the bishop of Portsmouth, the Rt Rev Dr Jonathan Frost, preaching.\n\nMusic includes the well-loved carols O Little Town of Bethlehem, Hark! The Herald Angels Sing and It Came Upon the Midnight Clear. The organist and master of the choristers, Dr David Price, leads the cathedral choir, accompanied by musicians of His Majesty’s Royal Marines Band Service.
