Series 2: 6. Garden Shed Discovery

After the unexpected and sad passing of both parents, sisters Sarah and Kaye face the unenviable and painful task of clearing the family home of 45 years. It’s been an emotional struggle, with every object holding a precious memory.\n\nWhile Kaye is pragmatic about the need to sell their parents’ belongings, sister Sarah has sentimental attachments, moving most of the items into her own home. Sarah’s spare room is overflowing, and her garage full. However, both sisters agree money made from an auction would take the family on a much-needed holiday – something they know their parents would have wanted. \n\nA collection of pocket watches piques the interest of auctioneer Christina Trevanion, as does a policeman’s truncheon. With sights set on taking eye test equipment to auction, Christina also strikes gold when she finds the family jewellery.\n\nRestorer JJ Chalmers gets Noah’s Ark shipshape and helps a zebra get back on four feet. However, JJ is worried he’s taken on a job that’s too big to fix when a sideboard reveals secrets from its past. He’s also stunned to find a filthy-looking Dutchman hiding in the garden shed.\n\nChristina steps up to her rostrum in a stunning castle to make as much money as possible for Sarah and Kaye. As the heirlooms go under the gavel, the big surprise is granny’s long-forgotten gold chain, which sells for a price that leaves the sisters gobsmacked.
