Sammi Kinghorn and Sean Fletcher explore the natural riches and hidden treasures of Wanlockhead – the highest village in Scotland. Way up in the lofty hills of Dumfries and Galloway, Sean learns how Wanlockhead’s fortunes were founded on the mineral content of the land and tries his hand at gold panning in a local waterway. He also turns his eyes to the skies, monitoring populations of golden eagles and building an eyrie for these majestic birds with a local school.\n\nSammi is at Crawick Multiverse, an imaginative ‘artland’ developed to reflect the cosmos in an area celebrated for its dark skies. Sammi heads to a nearby community observatory and learns that the stars have more in common with the gold in the ground than you might think.\n\nAdam Henson is on his farm in the Cotswolds, looking at how his practice of being more nature-friendly, by limiting the chemicals he uses on his farm, is not without its challenges, amongst which are his battles with black grass. And Tom Heap asks whether scaling up and becoming a so-called 'megafarm' is the way forward for some farmers to survive.
