Series 1: Episode 1

Food writer and chef Anjum Anand is on a mission to show novice cooks how to cook simple yet delicious Indian food. In this episode she takes a stall at the quintessentially English Sherborne Country Fair where she hopes to persuade the masses to ditch greasy burgers and hot dogs in favour of her healthier alternative, and raise money for charity. \n\nShe enlists the help of energetic friend Panthea, who is a great sales woman but can't cook, so Anjum decides it is time for her to learn. Anjum shows Panthea how to cook up a tandoori-style feast. There is delicious chicken tikka marinated in ginger, garlic, spices and yoghurt, before being grilled and served in a wrap with crunchy salad. Plus luscious lamb brochettes with a mint and coriander pickle. For the vegetarians, thick tandoori mushrooms with a spinach, peanut and paneer filling. \n\nAll that is left is for Panthea to master the art of making samosas and the two head off to Dorset to see if they are a match for the burger vans.
