An exhilarating journey, featuring potentially dangerous activities that shouldn’t be attempted, where one very daring young Scotsman defies conventional expectations. And gravity!\n\nEver since he was young, growing up in Stonehaven, Liam Byrne has had a dream: to fly like the birds. At just 23 years old, Liam is already one of the youngest top-tier base jumpers in the world and current British champion in performance wingsuit flying. He goes where the margin for error is razor-thin, and the stakes couldn't be higher.\n\nBut Liam’s story is about as far from that of a reckless adrenaline junkie as you could possibly get. Meticulous training, studying aerodynamics, fine-tuning his body and his mind, and fastidious attention to detail on his kit go into every single jump.\n\nLiam is the first to point out that amateurs should steer well clear of what he does, as we learn about the remarkable childhood that inspired and empowered him, why he loves the buzz of flight so much, and the roller coaster of emotions he puts his family through every time he heads out in his van to the next base jump or championship meet. For Liam, it’s not just a passion but a whole way of life. As he says of himself, he’s just ‘wired this way’. He shares with us his own personal philosophy, stemming from a belief in a universal life force and a fearless embrace of nonconformity. He has always felt he was born with an innate drive to seek new experiences and test his limits.\n\nFollowing Liam over a year, we catch a glimpse into the mind of a true adventurer and free spirit as he prepares to take his boldest and most challenging leap yet.
