Series 1: 3. Tied up in Knots

Old friends Joanna Page and Wynne Evans continue their epic sailing adventure along the south Wales coast. In this third leg, they leave Joanna’s hometown of Swansea and make their way toward Wynne’s beloved Carmarthenshire and one of his favourite places in the world, Llansteffan.\n\nTheir journey takes them via the stunning Gower Peninsula, where they explore fields of sunflowers and visit the dog-friendly Rhossili Beach. There, Wynne shares a heartfelt story about how his dog, Ginny, has been his anchor through some of life’s darkest moments. Before returning to their boat, they try their hand at mackerel fishing.\n\nSailing onward to Carmarthen Bay, they catch the unique amphibious ferry from Ferryside across the estuary to Llansteffan. Here, they discover that food tastes even better when you’ve foraged for it yourself, bringing their day to a perfect close.\n\nArriving in Joanna’s home city of Swansea, the pair savour a seafront coffee and join a relaxing beach yoga session - although Wynne opts out early to visit the local market. Back on board, he whips up a Welsh-inspired paella as the perfect end to another day of adventure.
