On duty at Bermuda’s international airport is British-born bobby Paul Watson. He’s lived on the island for more than 30 years and admits that its beauty is unparalleled.\n\nEight hundred thousand passengers fly into Bermuda each year, and it's Officer Watson’s job to keep the airport free from crime. It’s not long before he’s called into action when an American tourist is caught in possession of cannabis – its importation onto the island is a criminal offence. Drug trafficking is a problem, with Officer Watson revealing that £1,000 worth of drugs in the UK can probably fetch $50,000 or $60,000 in Bermuda.\n\nThe American holidaymaker is eventually arrested after admitting to mistakenly believing cannabis was decriminalised on the island. But after discovering the small amount of the drug in his possession, Officer Watson recommends the man avoids criminal charges and is instead given a formal warning. \n\nAt sea, jet ski-riding officer Sean Wheatley and Cpl Melanie Gauntlett from Bermuda’s coastguard are patrolling the island's stunning shoreline, ensuring boat users stick to the rules. Meanwhile, on land, officers Chris Douglas and Carol Skerritt are protecting Bermuda’s streets from crime and antisocial behaviour. \n\nKeeping Bermuda’s narrow, winding roads safe is motorbike cop Sgt Milton Joshua Hill. When he was a child, his father was a private investigator, and he inspired Milton's journey into the police service. \n\nThe island occupies an area of just 21 square miles, and in order to limit traffic congestion, locals are restricted to having just one car per household. This has resulted in motorbikes and scooters becoming Bermuda’s most popular mode of transport, bringing its own set of unique policing challenges. \n\nWhilst on patrol, Sergeant Hill stops a moped rider suspected of being uninsured and unlicensed, and failing to provide proof. He decides to issue tickets for the offences, despite the rider’s best efforts to charm their way out of a penalty fine. \n\nSelf-confessed petrolhead Milton later attends Motor Fest, an annual event showcasing the very best in modified vehicles, with some bikes on display bought for a few hundred dollars now being worth anything up to $10,000.
