Jason Mohammad hosts Celebrity Eid from the home of the 2025 UK City of Culture, Bradford. \n\nOn the evening of Eid al-Fitr, marking this special moment in the Islamic calendar at the end of the month of Ramadan, Jason will be joined by a host of celebrities, sport stars, interfaith leaders, chefs and Bradford residents to celebrate what Eid means to them and to share how they mark it with their family and friends. \n\nFrom the heart of City Park in Bradford, Jason and guests will be treated to mouthwatering dishes by award-winning chef Asma Khan of acclaimed restaurant Darjeeling Express. They will hear from guests, including comedians Shazia Mirza and Fatiha El-Ghorri, actress Dúaa Karim and music artist and global performer Harris J, as they talk about what Eid means to them.\n\nThere will also be a series of short films, including world super lightweight boxing champion Adam Azim letting viewers experience how he incorporates Ramadan into his training schedule as he prepares to defend his title.\n\nBradford boy, author and TV presenter Dr Amir Khan joins his mum and sisters as they prepare a feast to break their fast, demonstrating how community and charity lie at the heart of the faith, especially during Ramadan.\n\nHumaira Bham, one of the BBC's New Voices, takes the viewers on a whistlestop tour of the city’s Asian fashion and beauty shops as people shop till they drop, getting ready to bring some glamour to celebrating Eid.\n\nEid al-Fitr to Muslims means ‘festival of breaking the fast’ and is a time to mark the end of the month of fasting, an important moment in the Muslim calendar that Jason will explore with his guests, both Muslim and non-Muslim, as they open up and share their Eid memories and hopes for the future.
